These caves are accessible from Spilies beach, a short drive and only 15km east of Rethymno. This site offers caverns andf swim-throughs suitable for all levels of divers and snorkelers alike. Waters are calm, currents are minimal, and visibility good all year round.
Entry is easy via the shore, making it a great location for beginner divers and training dives. Marine life is varied and can include the chance to spot octopus and moray eels amongst the rocks. Occassionally, rare Mediterranean Monk Seals also visit.
